In cooperation with numerous national and international partners, the AG Computing has built a well-known reputation. Due to the good cooperation, we can now count some global players among our partners.

• German Aerospace Center (DLR)

  
  The University of Göttingen, the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the GWDG signed a declaration of intent regarding a closer cooperation in compute- and data-intensive research in June 2018. The DLR has now developed a new HPC-strategy in which it will distribute its HPC resources onto two sites. The first, running, site is in Dresden. The DLR has a cooperation with the Centre for Information Services and High Performance Computing ("Zentrum für Informationsdienste und Hochleistungsrechnen" - ZIH) of the TU Dresden. The second site is Göttingen. The system ensures the sustainable access to efficient HPC resources for all institutes of the DLR and is hosted by the GWDG in the new data center.

• Zuse Institute Berlin (ZIB)

  
  The Zuse Institute Berlin (ZIB) is an interdisciplinary research institute for applied mathematics and data-intensive high-performance computing.The GWDG forms the NHR-North together with the ZIB and their joint expert consulting network. The North German Supercomputing Alliance (HLRN) was founded in 2001 by the merger of the six federal states of Berlin, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein. The HLRN network is part of the national HPC infrastructure and jointly operates a distributed supercomputer system located in two operating centres University of Göttingen and Zuse Institute Berlin.

• GöHPC

  
  In Göttingen, researchers from many different scientific discliplines use HPC resources. These different disciplines have different requirements for hardware and software of a system. A close cooperation and regular exchange of information leads to synergies and expertise in the respective disciplines. With a large user base from the research fields of (bio)physical chemistry, micro- and molecular biology, genetics, evolutionary sciences or (bio)computer science, one can name the bio- or life sciences as such a focus. In astrophysics and geophysics, the boundaries between earth system and flow sciences are blurring. Especially in numerical flow simulation, the cooperation with the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) contributes to a great expertise in GöHPC.
