You want to access your own printers at your location by connecting to central print servers or you want to use printers provided by GWDG. In any case, you don’t have to install the necessary printer drivers manually on your workstations any more, and printing will be done reliably and properly by queue processing.
We provide print servers as member servers of the GWDG Active Directory. These servers solely control the printers and supply suitable printer drivers to your workstations for automatic installation. Access rights for the use of your own printers can be managed with means of the Active Directory by yourself. Moreover, there is a print server for our public printers, which can be used in self-service. This server offers associated queues and printer drivers, too.
Your computers are connected to the network, and your employees use GWDG user accounts.
